This model was built to represent a Hurricane Mk I flown by Eagle Squadron (No. 71 Squadron) in 1941 while based at Kirton-in-Lindsey.  The decals are from an Aeromaster Eagle Squadron sheet, and a combination of Tamiya and Mr. Color paints were used along with Alclad for the metallic areas.  Weathering was accomplished with MiG Ammo washes and chalks for exhaust staining. 

The kit goes together without any problems.  There are a lot of details in the cockpit that get hidden once the fuselage is assembled.  The fit of the parts is excellent with no need for any filler beyond some additional Super Glue to fill some very minor seams.  Attachment of the landing gear takes some special care, but the model sits on it correctly once attached. 

The wheels and the exhaust stacks were replaced with Eduard resin parts that have much better detail than the kit parts.  No seat belts are provided in the kit, so these were scavenged from a photoetched set of belts designed for the Hasegawa Hurricane kit.  This Airfix model is superior to the Hasegawa offering. 

As an option, the kit contains the parts to build a Sea Hurricane or a Desert Hurricane with the large air filter, but there are no decals in the box for either of these variants.
