TThis photo set contains general photographs of T-28Bs in service with the United States Navy and U. S, Marine Corps units. Additionally, two Navy T-28Bs that were provided to the U. S. USN & USMC T-28B Detail Photo Set:
This photo set contains numerous detail photographs of the T-28B version of the Trojan taken at various locations. Four photos were taken of T-28Bs on the transit ramp at El Paso International Airport. Several were taken of the T-28B on display at the National Naval Aviation Museum aboard NAS Pensacola, Florida. Thanks go to Oliver Linde for providing two photographs of the engine details in his T-28B. Most of these detail photographs were taken of a beautifully and accurately restored T-28B, BuNo. 138194, which is now privately owned. The photos of this Trojan were taken at the Virginia Tech Airport in September 2011. A few minor details on the T-28Bs in this set that are now privately owned are different that what was seen on Trojans when they were in operational service. These differences are usually noted in the captions. We also encourage viewers to study the T-28Bs included in the T-28B General Photo Set and the Ramp Shoot Photo Sets which were taken when the aircraft was in operational military service. U. S. USN & USMC T-28C Detail Photo Set:
This photo set contains numerous detail photographs of the T-28C version of the Trojan. Many of the details of the T-28C were the same as found on the T-28B, and viewers are encouraged to study that photo set extensively. While some of the same details are shown in this photo set, the emphasis of these photographs is to illustrate the changes made on the T-28C carrier-capable variant of the Trojan. These include a propeller of shorter diameter, a stronger landing gear with a longer oleo stroke on each strut, the addition of carrier approach lights in the leading edge of the left wing, a relocation of the right wing tip navigation light, a relocation forward of the battery compartment in the aft fuselage, and the addition of the arresting gear. All of these new features are illustrated in this photo set.
T-28B, BuNo. 137641 Ramp Shoot

This photo set contains photographs of T-28B, Bureau number 137641, that were taken by Bert Kinzey at El Paso International Airport in June 1975. The Trojan was assigned to Navy Training Squadron TWENTY SEVEN (VT-27) at that time. The aircraft was in a freshly painted condition, and it displayed the standard markings used on Navy and Marine T-28Bs that were painted in the overall white scheme with high-visibility markings. All of the large standard markings are illustrated in this photo set. These markings are the primary focus of this photo set.

This photo set contains photographs of T-28B, Bureau number 137658, that were taken by Bert Kinzey at El Paso International Airport on March 14, 1975. The Trojan was assigned to Navy Training Squadron THREE (VT-3) at that time. The photos in this set were taken to show details of the T-28B while assigned to an operational Navy training squadron.
