There are many 1:48 scale F-15E Strike Eagle kits available in today’s market, and Revell’s F-15E is indeed rather good.  It ranks solidly in the upper-middle range of quality, and it is also affordably priced.  The cockpit details in that kit are okay but a little basic.  They could also use some enhancement.  For scale modelers who prefer working with water-slide decals, Furball Aero-Design provides a new decal set to enhance the front offices of the 1:48 scale Revell F-15E. 

Decals are provided for two complete F-15E cockpits.  Everything is covered here for both the pilot and the WSO’s instrument panels and left and right side consoles.  A literal multitude of options for the multifunction displays (MFDs) are provided, from powered-off displays to MFDs with radar displays, SAR pictures, moving map displays, LANTIRN imagery, navigation aids, and more.  Other decals provide details for the WSO’s left and right circuit breaker panels.  Finally, shoulder harnesses and lap belts are included for the ACES II ejection seats, though these are a little simplified.

Furball Aero-Design decals are among the highest quality decals available.  That assessment owes to Furball’s commitment to accuracy and that the printing was done by Cartograf of Italy.  These cockpit detail decals are very precise and faithfully match my own reference photography of F-15E cockpits.
